Hurricane Nole

November 2007

Here is the finds I made up and down the coast during and after hurricane Nole. I made every low tide 5 days running. I drove around and checked every beach from Chuck Steakhouse (Bonisteel Park) south to Stuart and the Bathtub reef Park. I never had any illusions of finds any Spanish Treasure this time around. I knew the wind s would not be strong enough for that. There is still way to much pump and dumped sand on our beaches. But I was hopping to find a little jewelry. I mostly found a lot of lead weights and sinkers. And I gave those to the local fisherman I saw up and down the beaches. A lot of stainless hardware from the all the old and new dune crossovers was found to. I gave that to a friend of mine.

Here is all the lead I brought home.

Here is some of the pull tabs and bottle tops. The good thing about a storm is that it takes a lot of the light objects like pull-tabs away.

Nice fishing lure and spoons.

Brass survey marker. I found one piece one day, the other 2 days later.

did not count up the change , but I did count the quarters... 64 !!! in this pile.

Some other junk.

I saw a lot of gold found by others, but this was the only piece I managed to find. 14K.

Silver ankle bracelet.

This was a surprise.

Some of the other old coins found.

Happy Hunting to all !! Thanks for looking
